Picture Of Red Roses

Picture Of Red Roses Biography
I am a red flower. A flower that blooms and wilts. I live a life that lasts not more than a few days. Once I was a bud. A little bud in a vast flower garden. The gardener would come and look at me as he did with the other buds. He would water me and then talk to me. He would tell nice things, he would tell me that one day I would bloom and make some one smile. I wondered how.
In the days that I was a bud, I would wait, looking at other flowers that bloomed. They bloomed and the gardener would pluck them up and put them in a basket. I wondered, how I could make someone smile. Then one day when the sun rose, light blinded me for a while. I was in full bloom. I looked into the eyes of the sun and bathed in the warmth it shone on me. And then abruptly I was cut. My fate ended up to be the same as the other flowers I had seen bloom. I lied there in the basket. I was tossed and swirled as the gardener took me from basket to basket, and then to a pickup truck. I fell asleep, and then when I woke up, I was in a little shop. Around me were other flowers, they were all of a different kind, they were of different colors, probably a different race. They all looked beautiful. The florist had arranged so many of them together like a painting. People peeked in and picked up a bunch. Every time they did, they had a smile in their eyes.
Then, one day, the old florist picked me up. She softly touched me, and gently plucked out the wilted petals. She then handed me over to a young charming boy and tells him – I am sure she will love it. She then looks at me and tells me – Little flower, make his day.
The young boy clutched me with all his heart. His eyes nervous and his mouth chattering away in a nervous tone. We then reached a little park. The boy stops, hiding himself behind the bark of a huge oak tree. He then breathes deeply and turns back. With great courage, he approaches the girl. The girl, pretty that she is, is red with anger. They talk, she yells. The anger melts down into sobs, and she looks away. He gently goes behind her and brushes me on her cheeks. She turns around looking at him in his eyes. They kiss. He drops me on to the ground.
The sun rises, and lowers itself. It is almost evening. A little boy picks me up. I remember his face from the window at the florists shop. He looked at the flowers and then counted the pennies in his pocket. With depressed eyes, he left. He picks me up with great care and dusts me off. Happy to hold me, he runs and holds the hand of an old man. He holds on to me with care. He has got tears in her eyes. ‘Tears of happiness’ I think to myself.
We enter a huge building. A pretty lady lies in bed. She looks frail, but her anguish dissolves as she sees the boy. The boy runs and jumps on to the bed and hugs her. I see tears rolling from her eyes. She holds him tight and tells him ‘I love you’. The boy tells her – I love you too. He hands me over to her. Her eyes fill with tears and she kisses him on the forehead. He sits on her lap and they talk for hours. When the sun has hid behind the far away mountains, he kisses her goodnight and leaves.
The mother looks at me for a long time with fondness. She looks at me and tells me – I love you. I become the little boy. She then takes me and keeps me carefully in a big fat book that seems like a diary. I become her memory. I become a thought.

Rose Wallpapers Biography
Gertrude Stein, the youngest of a family of five children, was born on February 3, 1874, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania (merged with Pittsburgh in 1907)[2] to upper-class German Jewish parents, Daniel and Amelia Stein. Her father was a railroad executive whose investments in streetcar lines and real estate made the family wealthy.
When Gertrude was three years old she and her family moved to Vienna and then Paris. They returned to America in 1878, settling in Oakland, California, where Stein attended First Hebrew Congregation of Oakland's Sabbath school.[3]
Her mother died in 1888, and her father in 1891. Michael, her eldest brother, took over the family business holdings. He arranged for Gertrude, and another sister, Bertha, to live with their mother's family in Baltimore after the deaths of their parents.[4] In 1892, she lived with her uncle David Bachrach.[5]
In Baltimore, Stein met Claribel Cone and Etta Cone, who held Saturday evening salons which she would later emulate in Paris. The Cones shared an appreciation for art and conversation about it, and modeled a domestic division of labor that Stein would replicate in her relationship with Alice B. Toklas.[6]
Stein attended Radcliffe College from 1893 to 1897, and was a student of psychologist William James. With James's supervision, Stein and another student, Leon Mendez Solomons, performed experiments on Normal Motor Automatism, a phenomenon hypothesized to occur in people when their attention is divided between two simultaneous intelligent activities, like writing and speaking.
These experiments yielded examples of writing that appeared to represent "stream of consciousness," a psychological theory often attributed to James, which became a term used to describe the style of modernist authors Virginia Woolf and James Joyce. In 1934, behavioral psychologist B.F. Skinner interpreted Stein's difficult poem Tender Buttons as an example of "normal motor automatism".[7] In a letter Stein wrote during the 1930s, she explained that she never accepted the theory of automatic writing: "there can be automatic movements, but not automatic writing. Writing for the normal person is too complicated an activity to be indulged in automatically."[8]
At Radcliffe, she began a lifelong friendship with Mabel Foote Weeks, whose correspondence traces much of the progression of Stein's life. In 1897, Stein spent the summer in Woods Hole, Massachusetts studying embryology at the Marine Biological Laboratory, succeeded by two years at Johns Hopkins Medical School. In 1901, she left Johns Hopkins without obtaining a degree.[9].

The red rose symbolizes many different meanings depending on its shade and the amount. In general it portrays beauty, passion, courage and respect. It says congratulations, I love you and shows a sincere love. It is viewed as a symbol of deep romantic love and desire .
In Christianity, the red rose is a symbol of Jesus' blood and the suffering that he went through during His crucifixion. In Greek mythology, the red rose represents passionate desire. This is derived from the myth of Aphrodite spilling blood onto a white rose to try and help her wounded lover Adonis. In Persia it is believed that if the petals fall from red rose that has been cut in an English garden it is a superstitious sign of bad luck. In the 18th century, lovers that were forced to keep their feelings for one another secret used the red rose to communicate their love to each other.
Red roses are the most popular flowers for Valentines Day, which is why the cost of them are so much higher in February. Their bright red shade is the ultimate expression of romantic and everlasting love.
Red roses also have a different kind of meaning within marriage. They express domestic paradise that is also passionate as well as abiding. A love that is forever growing in strength and away from monotony.
In addition to beauty and passion, red roses also symbolize courage and power. They seek to congratulate a job well done, and to express respect and appreciation. The red rose celebrates the creative spirit of love.
Different shades of red convey dissimilar meanings. A deep red or burgundy rose signifies an unconscious beauty that is pure and genuine. It shows respect and deep admiration.
Not only do the shades of red roses mean separate things, the amount you give or receive have different signification as well. A single rose stands for simplicity.  In full bloom, it means I love you or I love you still. Six roses means I miss you. Seven roses signifies infatuation. A dozen red roses means I love you and signifies appreciation for their companionship. Eighteen roses tells the person the you are sorry and would like their forgiveness. Twenty-five roses shows congratulations. When you give your loved one a bouquet of fifty roses, this conveys an unconditional love.
A red rosebud also has its own meaning. Youthful love, innocent and fresh is what the bud stands for. The attractive and unopened rosebud celebrates unpretentious and honest beauty. Purity and loveliness are what the red rosebud stands for.
Now not all red roses convey wonderful expressions. When giving someone a withered red rose you are saying the passion you once shared has lost its warmth and your love for them is dying off.
